Yeah ok, victim of the consumer society, I already heard that one. Whatever! This is the song of the first winner of the french program Star Academy. Well, I admit, this is very easy listening and clearly aimed for teenagers. But it has advantages in terms of music, since they put a hell of resources in this album : real piano, real violins and cello for example.

And well, the lyrics are not all good because the whole of the games on the "waiting" word which are really lame. But there are a few very good lines and in particular the verses.

Oui bon, victime de la société de consommation, je l'ai déjà entendue celle-là. Qu'importe! C'est donc la chanson de notre première gagnante de la StarAc. Bon, j'admets, c'est une mélodie très facile à écouter et clairement faite pour les ados. Mais il y a des avantages en ce qui concerne la musique car beaucoup de moyens y ont été mis : un vrai piano, des violons et un violoncelle par example.

Et puis, les paroles ne sont pas toutes bonnes à cause des jeux de mots sur "l'attente" qui sont vraiment mauvais. Mais il y a quelques très bonnes lignes surtout dans les couplets.

After being all serious and quiet and nostalgic and... Well let's say it's about time to shake the blog a bit, it's getting rusty. We're not elders after all!
This is Tokyo ska paradise orchestra, it took me a few days to remember their name in the order. But when a friend of mine told me it's a dozen Japanese on the scene playing ska, I did not hesitate to go to the concert even though I did not know them. And it was awesome! Ska concerts are great !

C'est la fête sur le blog :D
Après avoir été tout sérieux et calme et nostalgique et... En gros disons qu'il est temps de bouger le blog, il commence à prendre la poussière. On est pas des papys après tout!
Voici Tokyo ska paradise orchestra, il m'a fallu quelques jours pour me rappeler leur nom dans le bon ordre. Mais quand un ami m'a dit que c'est une douzaine de Japonais sur scène qui font du ska, je n'ai pas hésité à aller à leur concert même si je ne les connaissais pas. Et c'était génial! Les concerts de ska c'est trop cool ^^

Once more with music!

It's probably just impossible for me to escape including music in this blog. After all, music is a part of who you are. Rebels would listen to hard rock, romantics to ballads and so on... It is a cliché but the problem with clichés is that some are true. And I don't think this one is a liar. Look at styles, clothes, hair cuts and tell me if nine times out of ten you're right.

Look at yourself, who you are or who you want to be and how you manage to do that. We're just animals trying to fit in the crowd of our pairs. And so what? It seems we all live quite fine in this reality of ours, in our little world that we don't really want to see changing. Comfort is not something worth sacrifying. But for the conscience, sometimes, we like to play rebels...

Tout pour la musique / Everything for music

J'écoute de la musique.
C'est presque toujours elle le déclic de mon inspiration, elle me permet de m'envoler et de revivre des souvenirs. Elle me redonne une ambiance, un moment. Je ressens une odeur, je revois la scène, j'entends à nouveau les bruits. Surtout, je ressens les sensations, et les sentiments, c'est comme si je revivais le moment pendant une fraction de secondes. J'en prends ce dont j'ai envie, le plus fort. Ca ne veut pas forcément dire le meilleur mais au moins c'est intense.
J'aime la musique.

I listen to music.
It's almost each time the reason for my inspiration, it enables me to fly and live souvenirs again. It gives me an atmosphere, a moment. I feel a smell again, I see a scene again, I hear the noises again. Above all, I feel the sensations agains, and the feelings, it is as if I lived the moment again for the fraction of a second. I take only what I want, the strongest. It does not always mean it is the best but at least it is intense.
I love music.
