In the Netherlands, the birthday of the queen is a national holiday. But this queen's birthday was not convenient (close to christmas I think), so they kept it to the previous date. Date which is also said to be a good time to go and see the tulips.Most of the party is in Amsterdam and there are a lot of people coming from everywhere. There are events organized there, free concerts and so on. Well, I went to Den Haag (The Hague) since it is the royal family city and it is next to the sea. I didn't regret it, the weather was great and the queen was there!

Aux Pays-Bas, l'anniversaire de la reine est un jour férié national. Mais l'anniversaire de cette reine n'était pas pratique (trop près de noël il me semble), donc ils ont gardé l'ancienne date. Date qui serait également le bon moment pour aller voir les tulipes.
La fête est principalement à Amsterdam, les gens viennent de partout pour y aller. De nombreux évènements y sont organisés, des concerts gratuits, etc... En fait, je suis allée à Den Haag (La haye) car c'est la ville de la famille royale et c'est près de la mer. Je ne l'ai pas regretté, le temps était super et la reine était là!
