Comme son nom l'indique, le Montserrat est une montagne, elle est située à environ 1h de Barcelone. Une excursion dont je n'attendais pas grand chose et qui s'est avérée être une agréable surprise. En effet, les formes très arrondies des rochers en font une forêt de pains de sucre aux contours surprenants. Une très jolie ballade et arrivé au sommet, on peut voir jusqu'aux Pyrennées. C'est le point culminant de la région. C'est aussi un lieu de pélerinage, mais j'en parlerai dans un post ultérieur.

As its name indicates, Montserrat is a mountain, it is about 1h from Barcelona. An excursion from which I did not expect much and which turned out to be a good surprise. Indeed, the round rocks gather in a forest of sugarloafs with very surprising shapes. A very nice walk up to the summit where you can see as far as the Pyrenees. It's the highest spot in the area. It's alsoa pilgrimage site, but I'll talk about that in a later post.

Huang Shan, China

Huang Shan (the Yellow mountain) is one of the sacred mountains in China. It is not very far from Shanghai, but if you want to go there on a WE, be sure to prepare yourself for an adventure! There is no easy way to go there, and the most convenient is probably the night train. When you get there, except if you take the cable car and wait in the loooong queue, be prepared to a 3h climb of stairs in the forest. It is so nice when you get to the top!
We had the chance to see a beautiful sunset on a sea of clouds, really magnifiscent. Of course in the morning, the clouds had gone up and the atmosphere was more misterious, like in the picture. These mountains hide a lot of different faces... Up to you to discover them!

Huang Shan (la montagne Jaune) est l'une des montagnes sacrées de Chine. Elle n'est pas très loin de Shanghai, mais si vous voulez y aller un WE, préparez-vous à l'aventure! Il n'y a pas de moyen facile pour y aller, le plus pratique étant certainement le train de nuit. En arrivant, à moins que vous ne preniez le téléférique et subissiez la loooongue queue d'attente, soyez paré pour les 3h de grimpe d'escaliers dans la forêt. C'est tellement agréable d'arriver tout en haut!
On a eu la chance de voir un superbe coucher de soleil sur une mer de nuages, vraiment magnifique. Bien sur, le matin les nuages avaient monté et on se retrouvait dans une atmosphère plus mistérieuse, comme sur la photo. Ces montagnes cachent de multiples visages... A vous de les découvrir!
