Just how lucky was I to make that visit in april with hanami and on top of that a bright sun? Hida no Sato is an open air museum which contains typical houses from Gifu (the area of Takayama). Each house, usually farms, was moved from its original place to be rebuilt here so they are authentical. They sometimes contain objects that show how people lived there. It is nice to see, and you can observe particular adaptations to mountain weather in some of the houses such as the one with rocks on the roof to prevent it from flying with the wind... Might be annoying!---------------------
Si c'était pas de la chance de faire cette visite en avril pendant hanami et en plus avec un grand soleil? Hida no Sato est un musée en plein air qui contient des maisons typique de Gifu (la région de Takayama). Chaque maison, habituellement des farmes, a été transportée depuis son lieu d'origine et reconstruite dans ce musée donc elles sont bien authentiques. Elles contiennent parfois aussi des objets de la vie quotidienne des anciens occupants. C'est agréable à visiter, et on peut observer quelques adaptations dans certaines habitations aux contraintes du temps montagnard, comme celle qui a des pierres sur son toit pour qu'il ne s'envole pas au vent... Ce serait gênant!
